2nd Avenue Singers is the Baker Community Arts Association “house band.” This group of twelve superior singers, expertly conducted by David Small, and often accompanied by guest instrumentalists has been delighting Baker Neighborhood audiences for over a decade.
Saturday, September 6th at 7:00 PM: Igor Pikayzen - violinist

Award-winning Russian-American violinist Igor Pikayzen is confidently establishing himself as one of the most prodigious and in-demand soloists of his generation. Praised on four continents by critics and audiences alike for his “astounding technical ability and a majestically lush tone” Igor Pikayzen is “surely at the forefront of a major musical career” (Moscow Times).
2024 saw the release of Igor Pikayzen’s recording of works by Glazunov and Tchaikovsky with the London Philharmonic Orchestra for Warner Music, as well as a CD of violin-piano fantasies with longtime collaborator, Tatyana Pikayzen. Mr. Pikayzen has appeared as soloist in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall in New York, Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, Flagey in Brussels, L’Auditori in Barcelona, Toronto Performing Arts Center, the National Concert Hall in Taipei, Mexico City’s Centro Nacional de las Artes, the Cadogan Hall in London, and with major symphony orchestras across Europe, Asia, North & South America. A passionate chamber musician, Mr. Pikayzen is a frequent guest at festivals such as the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, Soloist-Academy in France, Festival Mozaic and Napa Valley in the US, Semanas Musicales
